Before having our daughter, travel was a regular rhythm in our family. We heard all the warnings to 'travel before you have kids,' but we were committed to bring our daughter along for the adventures.
Sure, it has come with a new set of logistics to consider, but I'm happy to say 10 countries later, traveling with our three year old has brought our sweetest memories as a family.
Here are a few toys that have helped give us smooth(er) travel:
Travel ToysÂ
- Fingerprint Activity Book (Bring wipes)
- Magic Puffy Paint
- Squeeze Toy
- Pop It Light Up Game (Think Bop It for kids)
- Magnetic Toy People
- Silicone Fidget Toys
- Travel Set of Manga-tiles
- Feltbook
- Switch Board
- Activity Cube
- Retractable Measuring Tape (Not sure why this keeps my daughter entertained as long as it does, but I will add a warning for extra small kiddos: some brands retract really fast so test it before handing it to your little)
Easy Hotel Toys
The older she's gotten, the more important it's been for us to include a few toys for her to play with in the mornings and evenings. Here are a few that are easy to travel with and keep her occupied:
- Road Tape
- Kinetic Sand (Okay I know this one may come with some gasps. Definitely pass on this rec if your kiddo is extra active...and enjoys throwing things.....)
- Travel Lego Kit
